Skoolaborate – Next Steps

Here is a story of an amazing learning and teaching initiative involving indigenous students from NPAC in Bamaga FNQ and educational leaders in several states working collaboratively in real life and second life (Skoolaborate) changing the landscape of education in remote Australia.
Next steps : to create opportunities for these students to work with and mentor indigenous students from Melbourne Victoria and Thursday Island Queensland. Again a focus will be improving literacy as well as collaboration and engagement in Skoolaborate / SecondLife. But this time we’ll be integrating Dance as a new area of opportunity. The dance teachers at DECV as well as the dance teacher at Tagai (tThursday Island) and CSDE are keen to get started. Watch this space
