Day 2

Visual Storytelling and Panel Design followed by 3D Modelling in Skoolaborate.

A great start to day 2 with blog entries, students commenting on each others avatars and designs. All peer feedback was extremely positive. The role of storytelling and panel design in comics was discussed with students developing different skills and techniques important to designing page layout and writing a sequential story. Students worked on plots, panel designs, composition and viewpoint building their graphic storyboards. Students imagined and created new worlds, cities and villiages  as locations and backgrounds for their comic book characters. in the afternoon students embarked on an avatar hunt to find their plot of land where 3D modelling is permisable. they began in the orientation tower and moved through the four levels before reaching the base of the building. Once outside they could fly. When they found the field they learned how to build with the SL tools and apply photos and colours and explored the Bamaga and T.I galleries and huts. More to follow……
