Students exchanged their textbooks and classrooms to work in Skoolaborate – a virtual classroom. They designed avatars and very quickly developed knowledge and skills to navigate their new online environment. Students were tasked with designing a comic book story. They creatively designed their story’s participants. Characters were cool and cultural focusing on strong visual design. Students showcased their diversity of drawing and cartooning styles with each character developing a distinctive personality.
In the afternoon session the students were back in world exploring the environment, the training ground and the amusement park. Karts and parachuting were well received but there something special about flying with your friends and classmates.
